Tonight we had Zachary's pinewood derby. The girls took the pictures during the activity.

Jessica got a nice picture of Samantha! What a cutie!

Andrew got lucky and was announcing the heats for each race.

Christmas Vacation pt 2

Zachary got a chance to drive a race car. He did a good job!

The next day we thought that we were going to the meteor crater in Winslow, but the weather was bad so we went to Tucson.

We went to Old Tucson Studios. Many westerns were filmed here, including Little House in the Prairie. Here is Samantha pretending to be dead.

We saw a comedy stunt show. Look closely you can see a man falling from the tower.

The desert can be beautiful.

We then went to an airplane museum, with Nile and Candi's family.

They all fit so nicely under the wing.

We also went to Amazing Jakes and I got a great picture of Andrew and Samantha on the rock wall.

Christmas Break in AZ!

The Christmas break began with a skiing trip for Andrew, Jessica and Samantha. They said that they had a great time. I was with the boys for the day and we went to see The Chronicles of Narnia.

We headed off to Arizona! On Monday we spent time with the Threet Family.

We rode quads and shot guns. We all had a great time!

Andrew and I had a great time riding on the quads!!! I had not ridden for a long time.

Parker got the hang of riding really quickly!!

Jessica went riding with Garrett. Later on she rode by herself.

Samantha rode with Hayden.

I think shooting came second nature to Samantha, kind of scary.

I shot off an AK-47. That sucker has some power, it was like a firework going off in your arms.

Jessica seemed to enjoy shooting also.

The next day we went driving race cars! Parker enjoyed himself thoroughly!!

Thanksgiving!

We are having a fun Thanksgiving Day break. The break started by being cold, 4 degrees, and then the snow came! The kids love it!

Samantha and Parker made a large mount of snow, they will make a fort later.

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's for dinner. The kids like to be with their cousins!

Powderpuff

Last night Jessica and her friend Casey went to play in the Powder Puff football game. This is a football game for the girls to play. The boys are the cheerleaders! They had to get ready for the game; only girls would do that.

Show me those muscles!

Samantha had a Cross Country banquet. I think it was a bit on the long side, 2 hours. Samantha got the award for the best newcomer. Samantha is also wearing a walking cast. She might have a stress fracture. We will go back to get another xray in 2 weeks.

I made chocolate rolo cookies for the banquet. You use cake mix, butter and eggs and you wrap the dough around a rolo. Yummm.

After the banquet, Samantha and I went to watch Jessica play! Excitement!! Jessica has the green headband and the pink sleeves.

She looks excited to play. The game was the Juniors (Jessica) against the Seniors! The Juniors won 33 to 13! Woo Hoo!

Off to Wenatchee!

This weekend Samantha completed in the regional cross country meet in Wenatchee.

So we loaded up the car and took the family to cheer her on. Samantha wanted to compete in this meet really bad even though she was injured from a previous meet.

Here we are in the rain with Samantha. She is waiting for a heating pad to warm up so she can put it on her sore leg.

Here is our camping setting up. A pot with warm water heating up the pad for Samantha. Also a kettle with hot water to make hot chocolate, yum!

Jessica is loving the rain. My shoes and feet got soggy and wet from the rain.

Here is Samantha finishing the race. I believed she finished in 20:34. We are so proud of her for finishing the race. She is glad that she finished. With the season over we will go visit the orthopedic surgeon and see what Samantha did to her leg.

Halloween!

Another year of dressing up has come and gone. Due to Halloween being on Sunday, the family went to the ward party on Friday and went trunk or treating. Samantha went to a pasta feed that night to get ready for the cross meet the next day and then she went to a Halloween party.

Jessica and her friend Casey dressed up as fairies! What happened to the cute princess outfits?

Andrew and I were pioneers. I figured that I could use this costume for others things, Pioneer day or Trek?

Parker wore his Halo costume again. We went out too late to get another costume, but I think he was happy with this.

Zachary was a ghostbuster. He also had the pack to go with it but he took it off.

The boys had fun trunk or treating. I think Parker went to some cars like 3 times.

Today is Zachary's birthday so we took some of the family and his cousin Ian to Triple Play/Raptor Reef in Hayden Idaho. Triple Play and Raptor Reef is an amusement complex and indoor water park hooked onto a Holiday Inn Express. We stayed the night on Friday. We started with the water park on Saturday.

Zachary and Ian are ready to head out for some fun in the water!

I had a good time with Jessica; I had to keep her company since Samantha with staying with her cousin Emily because she had Cross Country practice.

We ate at KFC and made a new friend!

Zachary and Ian were excited to watch this movie, that you moved along with, but it was 12 tokens!

I think that they enjoyed the movie.

After having fun at Triple Play, we went to Cabela's! I think Andrew enjoyed himself the most at this store!!

I hope everyone had a good time, especially Zachary!!

Zachary will be turning 10 tomorrow! We wanted to celebrate a little today.First, we went to his class to bring a birthday treat, yummy Oreos and Chip Ahoy cookies! We had a few presents for him to open before we go to Idaho. We will do the full celebration tomorrow at Triple Play; we are also bringing Ian with us.

We love getting the extra large balloons for birthdays!

Zachary will be moving up in scouts as well. He will part of the Webelos pack, yea!

He had to try out his new scooter. I think he likes it eventhough it is red.

Jessica went to Homecoming, with a group of girlfriends. She looks so pretty! They took a limo and went to a friends house for dinner. Jessica had a good time.

Another school year has begun and the kids are excited to go back. Okay, maybe they aren't but I am.

Samantha is a 9th grader and this is her first year in high school!

Jessica is a big 11th grader. This year she will be taking test to get into college. Only 2 more years left and she is off!

Parker will be on his own this year in middle school as a 7th grader.

Zachary was so excited to go back to school as a 4th grader!

Fun at the Fair!

Before school was to start, we took our annual trip to the fair. My favorite part of the fair is the food. The girls and I had some chicken teriyaki, which was to salty. The boys had corndogs and hotdogs and a barbeque beef which all looked very yummy!!

The boys tried out the Aquaballs. They got into a plastic ball and then it was inflated and they got in it and then it was put into a pool. The boys had a great time!!

I think Zachary was still unsure about petting the animals.

We had fun looking around. We did not do the rides this year, yeah I know kind of surprising.

We had a good time; finishing the day off with ice cream and frozen chocolate bananas.

Meteor show trip

The meteor shower was this past weekend so we decided to go somewhere we could actually see it. We headed on over to Goldendale, WA, because they have an observatory there and the population is only 4,000.

Here is the observatory we went to. There are no pics of us watching it that night because it was so dark. The meteor shower was truly amazing!

After the meteor shower we decided to head over to Mt Adams.

Girls Camp!!

Had a great time at girl's camp! Samantha had my camera during camp so this is her interpretation of it.

Jessica was a YCL at camp and she had a blast! She was over the first year campers.

This is a skit, Jessica's group of YCLs did. Her YCL group was the Environment group. They were in charge of decorating around camp.

Her group made this beautiful backdrop for the amphitheater.

Here is the skit the stake was in charge of. We read the Parable of the Threee Princesses.

The theme for camp was Heavenly Ever After. The girls found prom dresses at Goodwill and brought them to camp.

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend! The week started off with Jessica going on her first date. Jessica went with Cameron Nelson who lives next door. She had a good time.

St. George

We enjoyed visiting the church sites in St. George. We learned who the town was named after, George Smith and he gave potatoes to the saints and saved them. This is the St. George Tabernacle.

Lorenzo Snow was at this pulpit telling the members of the church that they needed to pay their tithing.

My Great Great Grandfather helped to build this Tabernacle and the St George Temple. His name is William Craig Burt.

We went to a mortuary in town and saw this beautiful statue.

We visited the Jacob Hamlin home, a pioneer who was a peacemaker among the Indians.

We also visited Brigham Young's Winter home.

Pioneer and Zion

We also went to Pioneer Park in St George. The kids enjoyed climbing and exploring!

Las Vegas and St. George

For Spring Break the family went to Las Vegas and then to St. George to see my parents on their mission.

We visited the Las Vegas Temple. It was so beautiful amid a scary part of the world.

We stayed at the Excaliber hotel. After a few days we were tired of the smoking , alcohol and gambling.
We did find fun places to go with the kids. There was an amusement park inside the Circus Circus hotel.
We saw the Tournament of the Kings, a dinner and medieval show. We had fun!
The architecture was beautiful. This is by the Venetian Hotel.

We saw a Spongebob in 4D movie. Gotta fun Spongebob!

We went through the New York, New York Hotel each day and had this Statue of Liberty display.
Andrew and I went out to eat at Craftsteak restaurant at the MGM hotel. This restaurant is owned by Tom Colicchio who is in Top Chef. The food was simply wondeful. This is my favorite dessert, Cinnamon Monkey bread.

These are the appetizers we started out with.There was quail in the copper skillet and there was shrimp.
We even saw the Statue of Liberty.

We enjoyed have Uncle Robin and Ginny over at our home, they were visiting Clark and Rochelle who live in Kennewick.

Zachary was Boba Fett! Yes he is under there.

I am one of the Dharma Intiative, in charge of security.

Andrew works in Dharma but with the cars!

We put lights up for Halloween, it felt like Christmas with a different color scheme.

Samantha is think that dressing up 80's is a costume. She looks cute.

Jessica is looking nerdy as ever!

We had a fun Halloween. Andrew took the boys Trick or Treating, while I stayed at the house and handed out candy. Not many came to our house. Samantha went out with some friends and got 7 lbs of candy much lower than her 10 lbs last year. Jessica went to a party and had a good time but she was sick the next day, too many treats!

We're Still Alive!

School, sports and family have been taking up our time so sorry for the lack of posts. We love all the family that has been in town and had fun spending time with you all.

Kids played a game where you hid a jollyrancher in a pie tin of whip creamand had messy fun.

Jessica is 15 and will be starting drivers ed next week. She drove for the first time today. SCARY!

Our old piano was not working anymore so we bought a new one which the kids enjoy playing on.

We had Zacharys 9th birthday party and the kids had fun watching science experiments.

Happy Birthday Zachary! We all love him so much!

Parker has been playing soccer and we are proud of his love for the game. Samantha had to stop cross country early due to a knee injury and Jessica finished highschool volleyball for this season as her teams setter.

Our family's love for legos has grown as we have moved on to bigger projects, The Millenium Falcon!!

Summer's over

Before Summer ended we had some extra special activities-
Jessica invited over a few friends and they watched 17 again.
We headed over to Silverwood and on the way we saw this store. Parker thought he was pretty important.
We went on this ride called "Aftershock". the ride was very scary! I felt sick afterwards. The kids went on it 3 times. We had too much junk, but we enjoyed it!!

We went on a ward campout this weekend to Wind Dust campground.

We had roasted hotdogs and starburst. Have you tried them?

The girls loved to jump off the dock. I enjoyed jumping off also. The swimming was great with it being hot outside!

I timed this one wrong, but it is a neat pic with Zac half in and out.

After the campout we went to a tunnel that used to be a railroad track. The hike there and back was about a half mile.

I like this picture of Andrew, he stood in front of the exit on the other side so it looks like he is glowing.

The kids thought the hike was cool!

We enjoyed time together this weekend.

An owl was hanging out by the tunnel. We found some of his owl pellets.

We also drop by at Palouse falls, it is such a beautiful place.

Trip to Canada!

Our family went to Victoria, British Columbia this past weekend. First we took the Victoria Clipper over to the island. Zachary and Samantha both got sick along the way, nothing new for Samantha. We were happy to have Grandma and Grandpa with us on this trip.

Rafting trip

We went white water rafting this week. We first drove to Ensign ranch and we camped overnight. I never do well the first night camping but the rest of the family slept well.

The kids had fun hanging out with members of the ward; they went on the rope swing in the lake, hiked around the campsite and played card games.

I liked this creepy lane. I have seen this in several movies.

Parker tried the rope swing several times.

The girls enjoyed themselves. This was a very familiar place to them. They were here just a few weeks ago, at girl's camp.

Before we went river rafting, stopped in Leavenworth. Samantha needed another deck of Killer Bunnies. The kids enjoy this card game. I could not tell you exactly how to play the game, Samantha learned how to play from her friend Alisa.

I am hoping to get a picture of us white water rafting from the company that took us.

Parker's 11th

We celebrated Parker's 11th B-day today,

his birthday is tomorrow.

We started off with a water fight; water guns and water grenades.

The boys also played soccer,on a blowup soccer field and ladder ball. I also got some bubble solution and they had fun making huge bubbles.

We had a mint oreo blizzard cake! Very tasty! Be careful of the blue icing!

Jessica even had fun!

Parker wanted to light is cake! We enjoyed pizza and treats!

The Kent Bagley Reunion was held this past weekend at Camp Kiwanis, All of his grandkids were there!

Girl's Camp

Another year at Girls camp is over. We had a great time despite mosquito bites, cold nights and eating too many smores. I was with the Stake YW this year so I did not see Samantha and Jessica as much. I bugged them when I had the chance. We stayed at Camp Ensign in the Trillium area.

High Adventure!

Jessica and I went on the 4th year High Adventure campout. We went on a hike to Round Mountain, next to Camp Zarahemla. The hike was around 5 miles total. The hike had steep hills, snow on the trail and a beautiful view in the end.Jessica and I taking a break for lunch! The snow was close by!

Jessica had a great time. Jessica liked being in the front of the pack on the hike!

Jessica is 15 today! She had her party on Saturday and she invited over a few friends, a few to her was 9! Too many. The girls had water balloons, ate pizza and ice cream cake and watched The Little Rascals (1994). They had a great time!

Andrew and the boys went to cubscout day camp this past week-Here is Parker messing around with some older scouts.

Both boys had a good time at camp. This year was Parker's last year for Cubscout camp.

The boys have been at cubscout daycamp this week. A photographer from the Tri-City Herald took a picture of Zachary! He was on the front page on Thursday, June 18th.
We went to Albertsons that day and he said to me, "What if some one recognizes me?"
Zachary loved his moment of fame.

Fun boat ride!

Saturday we took the kids on the boat. It was cloudy for most of the afternoon but it did not rain.The boys like to sit in the front, but when it got cold they moved to the back.

Jessica invited Amanda to come along.

The boys are looking pretty cool with their water guns. They enjoyed squirting the guns while the boat was in motion and getting us all wet.

We had not been this far on the Snake River.

We decided to turn back when we realized that we could not call anyone if we had any problems. No cell reception out here!

We went on a hike this past weekend- the trail is called Iron Goat Trail.

The trail is a few miles past Stevens Pass. The kids had a fun snowball fight.

Their was so much water it ran off the top of the snow barrier.

No one wants to get wet, we really did ,it was getting hot.

The waterfalls along the trail were beautiful.

We were in Leavenworth,WA, A cute, little swiss town. I love taffy.

An Art show was going on. They had entertainment for the kids.

Parker made it to the top.

Zachary had a good time!

There was a cool hat shop. Samantha makes a scary Medusa.

We played golf. A beautiful waterfall was near the end.

scouts and snow!

Our latest Pack meeting we talked about America. I made Andrew wear the hat. We had US jokes, facts and sang songs.

Yesterday, the clouds came in and we had snow/hail, it was bizarre. They looked like miniature snowballs.

The snowballs looked like styrofoam packing on the loose.

Samantha had a blast!

The girls played in a piano adjudications. The girls had to memorize a piano piece and they played it for a adjudicator(a master piano player). The girls did a great job and the adjudicator had some words of wisdom for them after they played.

Sorry I have not updated in a month. Here is what we have been up to.

I went to a curriculum night at the elementary school. I played some math games with Zachary.

Parker pretended he was Alfred Ely Beach at their Night in the Museum. The kids pretended that they were famous people. The kids would be frozen and when someone would come up to them and say a certain word they would tell a little about themselves. Parker famous person designed the first subway.

Samantha and Emily played a violin and cello duet at their school's Solo and Ensemble festival. They did a wonderful job.

A while back the boys participated in our ward's pinewood derby. The boys had a great time. Zachary's car took 2nd place.

Jessica went to a friends birthday party. The theme was the 80's. I don't think she used enough gel.

Jessica had fun. Extreme leggings!

Samantha made a lot of chocolate chip cookies this weekend for her Science Fair Project. She wanted to show what happens when the amount of Baking Soda is changed.

No more cookies for a while.

Last week we went over to Mom and Dad Bagleys and celebrated Kirk's birthday and Hazel's birthday! Here is Zachary with his cousins Hazel and Afton.

On Martin Luther King day we always go out to breakfast because that is when Andrew asked me to marry him so we celebrate the day with breakfast. Parker loves hot cocoa.

Skiing Trip!

On Friday, our family and Ryan's family ventured out on a skiing trip to the Bluewood Mountains. We had a blast facing icy traffic, ginormous snowflakes, snow covered trees and one big huskie. Emily and I(Jessica) joined together on the ski lift and went skiing down the hill while losing skis and ski poles along the way. Ryan and the rest of their family went to the top and followed slowly behind us. My mom and Sam came up also after putting on their skis. My dad stayed at the bottom with Zachary, who's learning how to ski, and Parker on the platterpull. My dad had fun helping them out but still has the urge to get to the top. Here's part of our adventure!!

Jessica finished her Lego Eiffel Tower! We tried to move it and it broke :( It is under reconstruction.

We were going to go skiing on Saturday but the roads were too icy so we went sledding with Ryan's family. After sledding we went to Spudnuts(doughnuts).

I decided to make a snowman on Saturday. The warmer temps made the snow easier to pack. Cute isn't he?

The very next day, the snowman was gone:( Those darn Chinook winds.

We enjoyed Christmas Eve at Mom and Dad's; played Pictionary, opened gifts and sang Christmas songs.

Sorry for the delayed post. We are heading to Arizona tomorrow! The kids have not being to Arizona in a long time. They are excited to go. The weather is supposed to colder that usual, oh no.
Tonight the Kraus family is coming over and we are going to watch Ironman. For those who are not old enough they will be watching Wall-e.
Jessica and I went and saw Twilight last weekend. The cast was well put together. The movie was enjoyable. There were a few scenes that were a little bit cheesy, and I know that the movie's target age group is not me.

Baptism day!

Zachary was baptized today! What a wonderful day for him and our family. We had Ryan talk about Baptism and Kirk talk about the Holy Ghost, they both did a wonderful job. Zachary was baptized by Andrew. Jessica played the intermediate music, she did a great job! After the baptism, we had apple and pumpkin cookies! I think Zachary had a great day. Thanks to all that came and shared this special moment in Zachary's life!

Samantha participated in a soccer tournament today. She played two out of the three games. The game she missed would have been during Zachary's baptism. Her last game was at 5 PM. They started her game early because they knew the game would turn dark at the end. So that is why the picture is kind of dark.

Halloween!

We had our ward Halloween party, yesterday and we all dressed up. We had a chili feed, so I made some and we had a cookie contest, Samantha made some no-bakes. After eating, the kids went to the church parking lot for the Trunk or Treat.
Samantha was a southern belle, I did her hair in ringlets. Zachary was Indiana Jones. Parker was a Clone Trooper commander. Jessica was an 80's girl, she asked me what she should wear, that was kind of sad to be the informant for a costume.

We enjoy dressing up, at least I know I do. I did have a wig for the costume but my head is too big because it did not fit. Oh well.

Tonight, Andrew took the boys out. Andrew had this Detective cape that he got for scouts so he wore that. The boys had fun. Samantha went out with her friends and Jessica went to a party.

They did an obstacle course. They had to make a basket with at least 1 Nerf ball.

Scouts and Soccer

Zachary is 8 years old now, so he went to his first Pack meeting. Andrew loves having both of his sons in scouts.

Zachary has been playing soccer. He has been doing well, and I think he enjoyed himself.

Parker loves to play soccer. He goes after the ball and has lots of fun!

Samantha has been playing soccer also. Soccer is over for the season, yeah! Soccer will begin again in the Spring, we are happy this break has come!

We added a fountain in the front, it is pretty.

We were happy to have Mom and Dad Davis with us in the Tri-cities. We were in the Tri-cities for a few days. Mom helped me organize around the house. We then went to Bellevue because we had tickets for the BYU game. We took them to the airport in Seattle on Saturday morning.

We took in a football game, U of W and BYU.

An ambulance came on the field after a player landed on his head.

The kids like going to the fair. All they did was ride the rides . They did not want to see the animals. So we had yummy fair food and the kids rode the rides

The piggies reminded us of the kids, wild and crazy.Our kids are so daring! They screamed when this Pharoah ride got to the top.

The rides are pretty at night! Again the kids' favorite spinning and pukey ride. Don't see Jessica here? She went around the fair with her friends. She had a great time.

We enjoyed our time in Seattle. We went to the Aquarium and some of the shops close by, Ye Olde Curiosity Shop. We were also able to do some shopping in downtown Seattle.

We celebrated Jessica's Birthday this week! She had her birthday on Monday and we celebrated it on Saturday, with taking out the boat with some of her friends. Jessica is now 14 so she is a Mia Maid and she can go to the dances! I don't know if I will be able to handle it.

We had some fun with some dry ice.
I helped out with Cubscout day camp this week. They were at the fairgrounds with about 400-500 boys , I think. The Australian outback was their theme.
Here is the girls' bathroom done.

Clean up for the house will be done around July 3. Move in time is coming quickly.

I was happy when the toilets were it. This is the cleanest it will ever be.

We were going to have a party outside but it ended up being 70 degrees and windy. So we just had water balloons.

The girls enjoyed playing Apples to Apples and we also played the white elephant present game.

The kids had a fun time even though the cake was a cotton candy blizzard cake. We were on a sugar high for quite a while.

Field trip and recital

The kids participated in a piano recital at the Richland Gardens. Parker played a duet with Andrew. The kids did a great job.

The stucco is complete on the house. The bathroom counters are done and our shower is almost done.

The boys went on a Father and son campout this weekend. Zachary kept thinking that he was going on a Cub scout trip.

The girls and I had a fun evening. We went out to eat at a wonderful Thai restaurant. We then went and had a pedicure, the girls had wanted on for a while. We went to Target and got some treats for a movie, we were not sure which one we would watch. After the Target trip, we went to the new house and took some pictures

The stucco has begun, it takes a while to dry.

The tile is almost done, it needs to be grouted.

Yesterday, I ran over this bolt and washer. I probably freaked out more than was needed. While driving it sounded like driving with a studded snow tire with one stud. I was happy to get it fixed.

Samantha was not feeling well this week. She is feeling much better but she still has spots. She is allergic to something we do not know what.

Oregon trip pt 1

We just returned from a trip to the Oregon coast. We had a great time!

We drove up to Mt Bachelor, close to Bend Oregon.

Here we are driving to Crater Lake. I could not believe that this road was open!

House is moving along

Here is an update on the house. The cement in the garage has been poured! Yeah! The electrical is finished so that will be inspected. The next item to be done is the insulation and that will take a few days. After the insulation, they will begin to sheetrock. While the sheetrock is happening, the stucco process will begin. It is moving along nicely! Picture coming soon! Sorry.
The next thing I need to do is choose all the lighting; ceiling fans, bathroom lights, chandelier.
Jessica had her first track meet. She did the hurdles, then the rain came down and it was cancelled!

During the past weeks I have working on Science week for Badger Mountain. Each of the grade has a science topic and parents come into the class and teach that topic to the kids. I have been worrying about this week for about a month. It will be over next week. I will teaching the first graders about the skeleton and muscles. To show the kids what their hand would be like if they did not have bones, I made a jello mold of a hand

We did an Easter egg hunt at Mom and Dad B's house. The kids love it.

We had a nice dinner for Easter.

Roof and Spokane

I have had much on my mind lately so I have not been posting.

Our house now has a roof with shingles, yeah! They are working on the electricity. There is just one guy there taking care of it, slow process.

I just got back from Spokane, there was a Time out for Women. I had a great time. Wonderful LDS writers and singers are there to motivate you, and they did! We heard Michael McLean and Mary Ellen Edmunds she is so funny!

Spring Sports have started! Samantha is back at soccer and Jessica is in track. Parker's soccer team did not work for me this season so he is out.

These pictures were done by Zachary. Today it was Zachary and I together at home. Zachary got sick, somehow, I do not know how. The school got the blunt force of the sickness. Zachary came home and seemed fine to me. We have had a nice day together.

Yeah, the house is framed. I went on a walkthrough of the house today with the contractor. He had all sorts of questions for me.

What kind of ceilings do you want for your living room and master bedroom?

Do you want to square off the room so the sheet rock does not have to curve?

What kind of closets do you want?

How many steps do you want in the back?

And so on....

Next the rough in plumbing will beginning.
